Questions you should ask of any service you are considering for your event.
Q. Do you use CD's or MP3's?. I have
heard that MP3's are unstable and do not sound as good as CD's.
A.
Many companies have begun spreading rumors about quality, and stability in
regards to using digital music. I have been using PCDJ software for MP3 playback
for over 6 years. It is a program used by many top name DJ artist worldwide.

utilize digital playback format to allow for more song selection and immediate
searching capabilities. Those companies that cannot afford to integrate new
technology due to the increased cost for implementation, prefer to state that
the technology is unstable, this is untrue. I have embraced the latest
technology and have hundreds of satisfied customers that have experienced the
increased fidelity of properly encoded music and the inherent benefit of having
thousands of selections at my fingertips.
Q. Will you personally be the DJ for
my event.
A.
Many companies have expert salesmen answer questions and meet you at shows but
they are not the performers. With The Music Master you get the owner / operator
/ performer and even the guy who has to setup and teardown. I am the company.
Q. What happens in the case of
emergency?
A. In
the event of an emergency I have a network of DJ companies we support a 24/7
deployment service for emergency situations.
Q. Are you an interactive DJ, or do
you just play music?
A.
Truly that is a question that has many answers. As a premier DJ entertainer I am
the first to command the crowd and teach dances, MC activities and guide the
complete function. However some events require a more subdued entertainer, I use
your insight of music request, activity request, and gauge the crowd and it's
presence, to determine how outgoing to be at your event. Remember a true
professional will be just what the event requires, no more - no less. You can
always tone down an outgoing personality, but you cannot motivate a party crowd
by just playing music.
Q. What do you wear at the event?
A. I
normally wear a tuxedo for weddings. In the event that the function does not
require formal attire you can indicate what dress code would be preferred.
Q. Do you take requests at the
event?
A.
Absolutely! Unless you would prefer to not allow deviation from your prior
selections. However, my Music Information Sheet allows for you to illustrate
what songs you want to hear, what types of music to play and most importantly
NOT play. This give me the ability to incorporate requests and dedications where
appropriate based on your music guidelines.
Q. Do you have backup equipment at
the event?
A.
Yes! but more importantly I have a rigorous preventative maintenance schedule
that I keep for ALL my equipment. Many companies require this as a crutch due to
the fact that they do not test and maintain their equipment on a weekly basis.
Bottom line is, my OBLIGATION cannot be realized with equipment failure. As the
owner I have a vested interest to ensure your event is completed without
incident or complication.
